Summary
We are currently looking for a Parts Identification Specialist to join our team in Tampere.
You will be responsible for coordinating incoming requests for technical parts support from our global internal order desk. You will evaluate and solve requests where customers are not sure what is needed, requested parts are not active in product offering or provide suggestions for alternative offerings. This is accomplished by learning Metso's products, consulting technical databases, collaborating with team members and other technical resources. You will communicate within a global team to prioritize tasks and make quick, informed decisions.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Authorized to evaluate, complete, and assign global quotation support tickets as directed and within guidelines established by the manager and Global Quotation Support policies and procedures.
Processing of each request that is entered through a case management system
Achieves objectives by gathering pertinent data; identifying and evaluating options; recommending a course of action
Utilizing defined decision-making processes and directing the process flow forward
Consulting key expert user network, including product line, engineering, and supply chain, when appropriate
Adhering to lean processes and KPI requirements set by the manager
Obtaining and maintaining technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and product training
Cross train with various other functions in Global Quotation Support
Other duties as assigned
To succeed in the position
Qualifications
Education/Training:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical degree is required
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience in parts support, technical sales support, or product support
Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, such as Salesforce, is desired
Technical knowledge of Metso Outotec Spares and Wears products or previous work in the mining, construction or similar heavy equipment related industry is a plus
Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software, such as Teamcenter, is a plus
Experience interpreting machine and parts drawings
Strong familiarity with IT tools and ERP/integrated system (preferably SAP)
Valid passport for international travel and driver’s license for local travel must be maintained.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Capability to articulate and communicate topics within the area of expertise to all levels of the organization
Understanding of customer needs and requirements
A high level of computer skills is essential – CAD, Excel, Word and Power Point
Strong operational performance: Cost and performance vs. set KPIs, industry standards and competitors
Highly motivated individual with the ability to meet required deadlines
Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-language team atmosphere
Must be capable of effectively and accurately working on several tasks at one time, and organizing, prioritizing tasks, decision making and working in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Travel
Up to 10% may be required for this position
